Deserted by Wolves

Lone wide mind deserted by wolves to families
whose dangerous graces smile—to twist free—for hollow flying bones
long lost among the air and sun. Daughter of a son
under five feet of furs
so strangulatingly wavy to toe-tops under
dresses short of the knee. See
her and live by reaching
past jetsam and driftwood
back, back—to you with dangerous ease.
