Tongues, tied, lied
dying down and low—opening between
and below, ever thankful for:
Words failing as often as succeeding—perduring ambiguity.
Love’s essential impossibility—completion.
Enduring, vivacious dreams—registers and revaluations.
Thinking—free from thought.
A broken heart—all the king’s horses and all the king’s men.
A beautiful moment—ein schöne Augenblick.
Vision—idou gar he basileia tou theou entos humon estin.
Still, tongues, tangles
strange angels—briefly rising
and falling, always circling toward—
